To make this Starcraft 2 guide effective against Zerg enemies, your highest priority should be taking down their Hatchery as they will try to bring out an Overseer when you attack them with Dark Templars. If you are able to sneak into their base without being noticed, 4 Dark Templars are usually enough to take down a Lair before an Overseer is produced.

Do note that Dark Templars alone cannot hope to defeat a Zerg player as it is extremely easy for them to obtain an Overseer (detector). However, f you take them by surprise you can kill many Drones and even a Hatchery.

Dark Templars can be used to hurt the Zerg economy once, but to finish them off, you need your regular units. Generally, it is not recommended to do a Dark Templar rush against Zergs. Just use your Dark Templars to hurt their economy and supply count by taking out their Overlords with the Phoenix. Focus on Overseers first, then on Overlords.

While the enemy pays attention to the Phoenix, sneak in your Dark Templars and destroy any anti-air structure or units you find like Hydralisks or Queens. Then use the Phoenix to take out Overseers that may have begun forming.

This Starcraft 2 guide will focus on how to use a Dark Templar rush against a Terran player. The majority of people out there who know about the Dark Templar rush think that it’s a waste of time to try it against a Terran opponent as they can crush the rush with a simple Scanner Sweep.

Even though most Terran players are likely to have Scanner Sweeps, it does not imply that the Dark Templars you build will be ineffective. The truth does not come even close to this.

It takes energy to perform Scanner Sweeps and they can only be done a limited amount of time. Bear in mind that Terrans have to choose between the Mule and the Scanner Sweep and considering that the Mule is equivalent to 270 Minerals for the Terrans, only doing Scanner Sweeps will leave their economy in ruins.

Make four Dark Templars and send them out to the enemy’s base one at a time so that he’s forced to use the Scanner Sweep over and over again till his energy is exhausted and he is robbed of the Minerals he could have received from the Mule. Terran players usually keep less energy available and this is a good way to deplete their remaining reserves.
Most players have energy left only for 3 scans, so the fourth Dark Templar will start causing massive damage to the opponent. After this point, keep sending in more Dark Templars to sweep his base. Make sure you keep your Dark Templars well separated so that they are not revealed in a single scan. Also keep an eye out for the enemy in case he begins to construct Missile Turrets, as they are detectors too.

As a final measure, destroy the Tech Labs on Starports so that the Terran player is unable to make any Ravens (the Terran detectors). Ravens cost so much gas anyway that most Terran players do not build them.

It is good to note that even if your Dark Templar rush on the Terrans is unsuccessful in wiping them out, they will have wasted a lot of Minerals in scanning out your Dark Templars. Just continue sending in Dark Templars and try to snipe out their units and SCVs.

Be on the lookout for high value units like the Siege Tanks and Ghosts to snipe. Many players simply cannot react fast enough if you kill a Tank in a few strikes. Siege tanks are one of the best units to kill since most players keep them in Siege mode, meaning they won’t run away when you attack them and often times the splash damage that occurs when one explodes damages the other nearby units of the enemy too.

If you’d like to see the numbers: One Dark Templar costs 125 Mineral and 125 Vespene Gas. On the other hand, one Siege Tank costs 150 Mineral and 125 Vespene Gas, along with a scan worth 270 Minerals. So even if you lose a Dark Templar, it won’t be as painful for you as losing 420 mineral and 125 Vespene Gas for the Terran player. If you keep rushing in with Dark Templars, these numbers multiply pretty fast.

Ghosts have the EMP ability which can expose Dark Templars, so keep your Dark Templars separated and focus down the Ghosts since losing a Dark Templar is a waste of money.

Also note that Dark Templars can be used to protect your own base while you do a Dark Templar rush. If the Terran uses a lot of scans to see your attacking Dark Templars, he won’t be able to see the Dark Templars you have in your own base. You may use Phoenix or Stalkers to focus down any Raves the enemy might have.

This Starcraft 2 guide will focus on how to use the Dark Templar rush against another Protoss player. It is divided into two segments: when the enemy doesn’t have detectors, and when he does.

Protoss enemy with no Detectors

When playing against a Protoss opponent, you will discover that the sooner you time your rush, the greater is your chance of victory and the more damage it will do to them. For the most part, this is because the majority of Protoss players do not go for Detectors early on in the game, especially in the lower leagues.

Another great way to make the Dark Templar rush a success is by walling off your base by constructing a Pylon and a Gateway near the entrance of your base protected by a Zealot. Since the enemy cannot get into your base to scout, he will have no idea that you are going for a Dark Templar rush.

If you find out that your enemy doesn’t have detectors that basically spell doom for him. Just remember to watch carefully for any Probes that are building Cannons or any available Robotics Factory.

If you see any Robotics Factory creating Observers, destroy the Pylons as quickly as you can (Dark Templars destroy Pylons very quickly, but the Robotics Facility will take time).

Utilize one of the Dark Templars to take out key buildings. Begin with the Nexuses and Probes and then proceed from there. Employ your other Dark Templars to keep an eye on the enemy base and foil ay of his attempts to build detectors such as Cannons, Pylons or Robotics Facilities.

All the while, keep warping in more Dark Templars to finish off your enemy. It cannot be stressed enough that once you are able to manage the Dark Templar rush early in the game, your victory will be extremely easy.

Often times, your enemy will attack your own base knowing that the majority of your combat force is far away, so do not forget to keep some Dark Templars in your base as well.

If the enemy has a lot of aerial units, build lots of Cannons and Stalker to counter them. Now once you’ve killed off all his probes, even if your enemy razes all your main buildings with his air units, he will have to destroy your Cannons with those same air units to win and that is unlikely to happen. Once your Dark Templars have obliterated his base, the game will be over soon.

Protoss enemy with Detectors

Now this is a different scenario altogether. When you’ve learnt that your enemy has detectors, it would be wise of you to get Warp Prisms to warp your Dark Templars into his base. Place a Warp Prism at a corner of his base and rush to his Nexus using 4 to 6 Dark Templars.

You may also consider diverging the enemy’s defence by making 3 Dark Templars attack his main base and the other 3 can attack his expansion. Most of the players have only a single Observer for defence so if you follow this Starcraft 2 guide, you can cause major damage to them before being revealed.

But truth be told, it is unlikely that you’ll be able to win the game in this scenario based on a Dark Templar rush alone. The Dark Templar rush loses its edge when the enemy player has made Observers, so just use the Dark Templars to harass him and his expansions.

Dark Templars are high level units of the Protoss race and are permanently protected by a cloaking technology, so if your opponent wants to attack your Dark Templars, he will have to get detectors first and only then can he attack them.

The basic Starcraft 2 guide thought behind the Protoss Dark Templar rush is to tech up very quickly so as to be able to produce Dark Templars before your enemy can get detectors and attack them. When done quickly enough, your enemy will be crippled to a large extent or might even lose the entire game.

Click here to visit Shokz Starcraft 2 guide

The Starcraft 2 guide build order for the Protoss Dark Templar Rush is as follows:

Get 9 Probes first. Scout your enemy to learn if he is gunning for an early rush on you.

Start your first Pylon’s construction. Decide the location by keeping in mind the race of your enemy and the map you are playing in. Usually, it’s a good idea to build the Pylon very close to the heart of your base if you’re playing against Terrans. On the other hand, against Zergs, try to build the Pylon near the entrance of your base.

Continue production of Probes till you get 12 or 19.

Start building your first Gateway.

Resume Chrono Boosting out of your Probes. While this is happening, build Assimilators.

Click here to visit Shokz Starcraft 2 guide

When your first Gateway is completed, begin construction of a Cybernetics Core. Then research Warp Gate technology ASAP.

Scout your enemy again and if he’s ready for an attack, build two more Gateways straight off. However, if you think you have time, make a Twilight Council and then another Gateway.

Now from here onwards, the steps you have to take depend on the race of your enemy. If you are playing against Protoss, just rush for a Dark Shrine, unless the opponent has Cannons near their entrance.

Against Terran players, it is advisable to build a Robotics Facility first and get a Warp Prism if the Terran player has not expanded yet.

By now, you should build a Dark Shrine if you haven’t already.

After you have placed your Dark Shrine, send Probes out to the enemy base and begin construction of a Pylon near it.

On some of the maps, if you build Pylons outside the base of your enemy, you can build units inside their base. These are the maps with destructible barriers and lead to a second entrance to the base.

Now it is time to upgrade your Gateways to Warp Gates. Warp all your Dark Templars outside (or if possible, inside) the enemy’s base. Further action from here on depends on what your opponent is doing.

It is vitally important that you realize that the usage of your Dark Templars depends on the race of the enemy you’re up against.

The Terrans are recognized as the easiest race to play in Starcraft 2 mostly because of the familiar units and structures they possess. This Starcraft 2 guide will tell you all the basics of the Terran race.

In a game of Starcraft 2, most Terran players go for one of three major builds, and while the strategies use are not mutually exclusive (they are frequently combined in different proportions) ht major backbones can be divided into three. They are- Infantry, Mech and Air.

Infantry Build

Under the Infantry build are four more classifications. The most commonly used is an early game build that includes amassing Marines only or Marines and Marauders. A mix of Marines and Marauders is generally considered more effective, though there are some known exceptions.

When you know that the enemy will be rushing air (an uncommon tactic in Terran vs. Terran games, but common in Terran vs. Zerg or Protoss), the best counter you can use is to build 2 Barracks and add 2 Reactors to them. Then pump out Marines continuously and dispatch them for a counterattack for an easy victory.

However, if you notice the enemy is amassing Stalkers or Roaches, you need to mass Marauders as they are good against those units in the early game.

The most common and popular strategy for Terrans in Starcraft 2 is the MMM combo. This combo consists of Marines, Marauders and Medivacs. This combination of units is extremely effective yet simple to use and it can be seen a lot in the lower leagues like Silver, Gold and Platinum. You won’t see many players trying this combo in Diamond League as it has some counters and all the high level players are aware of them.

The final variant of the Infantry build is to mix Marines with other units. The exact specifications of this variant depend on the race you are playing against.

Click here to visit Shokz Starcraft 2 guide

Mech Build

The Mech build is a very popular strategy for Terrans and it involves obtaining Siege Tanks and Thors in large quantities. The siege Tanks are used to decimate ground based units where as Thors are anti-air masters and protect the Tanks.

Terran players frequently add Vikings if the enemy is mostly going for aerial attacks, or Hellions if the enemy is focusing on lighter units like the Zerglings or Zealots.

Ghosts in small amounts are also added to Terran armies to take out high value targets like Infestors, or to strip the armor ability of Immortals by using their EMP ability.

Click here to visit Shokz Starcraft 2 guide

Air Build

A fully aerial assault combo is also fairly common for Terrans. Good players, however, usually avoid this. Banshee rushes are effective against Zerg and Protoss enemies, whereas Vikings are good for containing enemy Terrans.

The Air build is usually most effective when used as a switch strategy. In a switch strategy, you start off by making an infantry build, like MMM, and when the enemy sees the units you are amassing he will go for counter-ground units like Colossi, Zealots or Sentries for Protoss.

Once the enemy has assembled his army, you need to perform a good and quick switch and bring out about 6 Banshees. Since the enemy will not be ready with anti-air units, the Banshees will inflict serious damage to him kill a lot of his units.

This Starcraft 2 guide will help all Zerg players in improving their gameplay and vanquish their opponents in online games.

At first glance, the Zergs look like a weak race since they start out slow, have pathetic anti-air defences in the early game and their common units like Zerglings and Roaches are easily squished by Terran and Protoss opponents. Many initial players think of the Zerg as the toughest race to play.

But if you take some time to research upon them and practice a few good strategies, Zergs can be a devastating race to be up against. It is no wonder that the Diamond League has more Zerg players than the other races.

One of the most basic yet highly effective Starcraft 2 strategy guide for Zergs to see improvement in their game from the word go is to use a well defined build order.

One of the most favourite build orders of many advanced players is called the “IdrA” after being disseminated by the Starcraft 2 player of the same name. The details of this build order are as follows:

Immediately produce 10 Drone straight away.

When you have 10/10 Drones, create an Overlord.

While the Overlord is being made, utilize the Extractor cheat to get 11/10 Drones.

Once the overlord is complete, build more Drones till you have 15/18 Drones/

Begin construction of a Spawning Pool at 15/18 Drones.

Build two more Drones, which will take you to 16/18 supply (since one of the Drones will be consumed to make the Spawning Pool).

Once you have a supply count of 16/18, expand to your natural expansion site by building a Hatchery.

Once the command for building the Hatchery has been given, build an Overlord as soon as you have the resources.

Soon after your Overlord is complete, your Spawning Pool will be finished.

Produce a Queen and some Zerglings.

Now since you have an expansion, a Queen and a Spawning Pool, the Starcraft 2 strategy you use from here onwards depends on the actions of the enemy.

Keep in mind that you might have to modify this build order if you see that your enemy is rushing for an early assault like through proxy Gateways. If your enemy is proxying, quickly construct a few automated defensive buildings and try to get a few of your Zerglings into his base quietly for an easy win.

Click here to visit Shokz Starcraft 2 guide

There are some more Starcraft 2 strategies that you can use to improve your game quickly.

Perform Aggressive Expansions
The Zerg race has a very high demand for resources (specifically Vespene Gas) so that they can be competitive. This is because most Zerg units tend to be cheap and expendable, so you need more of them to be really strong.

It is a very important fact that Zergs usually have a dearth of Vespene Gas and have a lot of unspent Minerals. So building automated defensive structures is a great way to utilize your Minerals.

As a seasoned Zerg player, you will learn that losing a Hatchery and a dozen odd Drones is not a huge loss when you’ve learnt to expand aggressively. These can be rebuilt easily and quickly by using the Spawn Larva ability and the mineral loss is not a huge thing to worry about as Zergs already have too much Minerals.

Expanding aggressively is the best Starcraft 2 strategy for a Zerg, since you won’t be winning matches by having a weak economy.

Have Control of the Map
Being a Zerg, you need to realize that just a good economy is not enough, but that your economy should outclass your enemy’s. You have to do everything in your power to stop the enemy’s expansion.

The easiest way to do this is by sending out an assault force of 12~18 Zerglings with the speed upgrade (AKA Speedlings) to expansion points on the map.

A group of Speedlings are quite adept at killing many harvesters and can even demolish a Nexus or Hatchery if the enemy is not alert. Since Speedlings are so cheap, it won’t matter much if they die in the assault as long as they have hindered the enemy’s economy.
One of the best Speedling strategies is to have two groups of Speedlings ready for an assault. Send out the first group to his expansion base and watch as he sends over all of his military might to the new base thinking that you will be focusing on destroying the expansion base completely.

When his entire army has arrived at the new base, rush his main base with the other group of Speedlings you had and have him watch helplessly as you destroy his main Nexus and tip the game in your favour.

Conclusion

If you follow this Starcraft 2 guide, you will soon be winning matches as a Zerg. The key to playing a Zerg is of course keeping an economy that is stronger than your opponent’s. Just matching up with him is insufficient for a Zerg, and will most likely lead to a defeat for you.

So expand as much as you can and believe in the quantity of your units more than the quality of the enemy’s.

Protoss are a futuristic alien race with vast psionic powers in Starcraft 2. The main strengths of the Protoss are their advanced technologies and the huge, strong nature of their units. As far as race selection goes, Protoss are usually the preferred race in a game of Starcraft 2. Even though the Protoss race is one of the easiest to get a hang of, mastering it is a mighty difficult challenge.

This Starcraft 2 guide was made with the express intention of helping you master this amazing race.
Since Starcraft 2 is a very balanced game, the Protoss race, just like the other two, has many pros and cons specific to it.

Pros:

- Least time taken for setting up building and structures

The reason why this is true for the Protoss is that they do not really “build” buildings, but teleport them to their base from their own alien home world. This technology of them allows their workers to just begin the summoning process for a specific building and move on to other tasks.

However, it is not as simple as that. Building can only be set up within the area of a pylon. But if the player has enough resources (Minerals) and pylon space, he can set up buildings one after the other with minimum delay.

- Powerful mid-to-late gameplay

The Protoss have a lot of options when it comes to heavy, strong units and can gather up a large fearsome army if given the time. They can also summon huge armies through the use of Warp Gates quickly.

- Amazing structure for defence.

The best in-game automatic defensive structure belongs to the Protoss- the Photon Cannon. It not only attacks ground based units, but acts as a detector too. Among all the buildings available in Starcraft 2, only the Photon Cannon has the versatility of being able to attack both ground and air units. For just 150 Minerals, the Photon Cannon can put an end to a lot of Mineral harassment strategies of your enemies by way of Reapers or Dark Templars.

Click here to visit Shokz Starcraft 2 guide

Cons:

- Very slow start game

This is one of the biggest weakness of the Protoss race, since due to this they are prime targets for rushes. On top of that, Gateways are slow to build and the Zealot (their main ground unit) is slower than the respective ground units of the Zerg and Terran, like Zerglings and Reapers. Even if you manage t make a lot of Zealots soon, a good player will be able to decimate them through ranged or quicker units.

- Very easy to harass

This is mostly an effect of the slow start of the game for the Protoss. Enemy races find it ridiculously easy to disrupt mining operations by attacking the workers. For example, the Zergs make many Zerglings early in the game and use thme to harass the workers and run around the Zealot since they are faster. The Terran Reaper unit too can cause a lot of damage to Protoss Probes and delay the Protoss game even more.

To counter this, the Protoss has two options available. He may build cannons in his Mineral base, but at the cost of further delaying the unit production and technology advancement. Or the Protoss may try to tech up to Stalkers (teching up basically means to build the buildings required to be able to start production of certain late game units). However, the most obvious flaw in this strategy is that you are left extremely vulnerable to rushes such as the Zergling rush during the teching period.

One thing that a Protoss player can do to minimize his losses due to hi weaknesses is to scout the enemy properly. Once you have the knowledge of whether the enemy is building up a Zergling or Reaper rush, you can choose between your options of Cannons or Stalkers.

This Stracraft 2 guide for the Protoss race will help you overcome their weaknesses and maximize utilization of their advantages so that you can deal your enemies a crushing defeat.

I am sure you have heard of this guide and always wondered if it is really worth buying. The very first thing about this guide that you should know is that among all the other guides, Star2Pros is the most expensive guide. This Starcraft 2 guide comes with a one time fee and a monthly membership fee.

This doesn’t mean that you should not go for it. Read my detailed review to learn more about this guide and to find out what class of Starcraft 2 players is this guide best suitable for.

The author of Star2Pros, Wesley Graber, is a reputed and very famous player. His Starcraft 2 guide is totally worth the money and so are his monthly subscriptions. No other guide offers the vast number of Build orders as Star2Pros does. On a side now, a build order is a sequential order of instructions that tell you which unit to build and at what supply count.

Star2Pros gives you a detailed blue print of several build orders, unit by unit no matter what strategy you want to go for. Either you are looking for fast rush or an organized attack, you will find abundant build orders in this guide. It is only hours of experience that allows you to learn something like this. However, Star2Pros Starcraft 2 guide will save you these endless hours of experiments by giving away some of the best kept secrets.

Click here to visit Star2Pros Starcraft 2 guide

I must say that I was quite impressed when I bought Star2Pros and had a look at the members area for the first time. I was amazed by the number of guides and strategies and wondering how much time it would have taken me to actually figure out all those build orders. Star2Pros is not just restricted to build orders. Here in brief are a few of the Starcraft 2 guide and strategies that Star2Pros offers:

Detailed 1vs1 and 2vs2 guides for Terran, Protoss and Zerg players.

A very simple strategy to start wining games right away

Best build order for all the three races along with variety of following battle strategies

Easy strategies that gives Zerg players a great advantage

Major and most common mistakes and how can you avoid them

…and a lot more

Along with such a Starcraft 2 guide, Star2Pros is the only guide that also holds regular tournaments with a prize pool of 2000$. If you are looking forward to upgrade your Starcraft 2 skills, then Star2Pros is the best Starcraft 2 guide for you. It will familiarize you with several build orders and give you a chance to improve your game play via tournaments. If you are looking for rising up the ladder towards the Diamond league, then I recommend that you get this Starcraft 2 guide as soon as possible!

Is this Starcraft 2 guide any good? What does it contain and how does it compare with Shokz Starcraft 2 guide? So I decided to write down a small review that will hopefully answers questions like these.

People may have initial doubts about the author of this guide as their website looks like a sales page full of promises. Even I was wondering, why such a flashy sales page? Would this Starcraft 2 guide be really worth it? I decided to get an original copy to see if it was even close to what it claimed on their home page. Following is my detailed report, review and my personal thoughts on this Starcraft 2 guide for my readers and fellow Starcraft 2 gamers.

I will begin with the author, Jay Cooper. He is a reputed and a great Starcraft 2 player. In this guide, he shares all of his best Starcraft 2 strategies and delivers a lot of guides as two sections, an 86 page e-book and a private members area.

The e-book is neat and well organized. Each and every Starcraft 2 guide is concise and briefly explained with images and tables where ever required. The content is linked to allow easy navigation throughout the guide. The members area is for updates. As a part of this Starcraft 2 guide package, we also get a free updates deal where latest strategies are uploaded into a restricted members only zone.

Now lets get to the real deal, i.e. what does the guide contain. Here are some of the widely sought Starcraft 2 guides that are included as a part of Starcraft 2 Mastery guide:

Expert tips on scouting. How to improve and scout effectively to gather maximum intelligence in minimum time.

How to improve your resource utilization and get the best out of it

Instant expansion strategies along with tips on how to secure them

Fast Protoss expansion guide

Proven secrets of winning a match that you have almost lost

Five powerful Protoss rush strategies

Effective Zerg build order and Zerg Rushes

How to counter Terran Mech when playing Zerg

In-depth and detailed Zerg strategy guide revealing how to counter some of the most difficult enemy units

Build orders for most widely used Terran Rushes

Counter for Mutalisks, Void Rays and Roaches when playing Zerg

…

The list is really big and goes on and on. Did I mention that you get several videos as well as a part of this package? Cooper regularly posts selected videos that can help improve your game. With no doubt, this Starcraft 2 guide is much better than what is written about it on the sales page. I would highly recommend that you get your hands on this Starcraft 2 strategy guide if you are yet to learn any of the above strategies.
